Happy New Year!

We are sorry for the delay with our post but we still wanted to wish everyone a Very Happy New Year, and lots of Health, Happiness, Love and Laughter for the New Year. After the hustle and bustle of the holidays and getting the kids back to school I am sure everyone is starting to work on their new years resolutions and new years projects, especially valentines day.

I know many resolutions revolve around getting organized, its is extremely important for paper crafting as it allows for creative inspirations, a good flow when working on your projects and its less overwhelming.

There are many great tools and storage options out there to help you get organized, especially for our rubber and clear stamps. Inque Boutique had a great CD Case to hold clear stamps and even comes with the items necessary to convert stamps.

There are many great promotions usually in the month of January, so now is a perfect time to check out your local craft store for storage and organization products.

Happy Crafting Everyone :)

Let it Snow!!!

I am sure everyone is busy crafting for the holidays, here are a few cards I have made and I hope you like them and the will bring some inspiration. The images where created using Stampendous Stamps, Embossing Powder, and Fun Flock which add great dimension to any project. Also the base of the cards are using DCWV prepackged cards. Other embellishments like vellum, ribbon and jewels where added for extra detail.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

With Christmas around the corner everyone is busy getting ready for all the fun treats they will be making, not only for sharing but they make great gifts. My Favourite is cookies!!!

Its sometimes hard to find a great chocolate chip recipe, but when you do hang on to it. The Hershey’s Recipe is my favourite, always makes super chewy cookies that everyone loves. Check out the recipe on their website.

I find for newer ovens if you like a chewy cookies you only need about 8 minutes on the bottome rack, if you want a more crunchier cookie than leave it in for 10-12 minutes.

Happy Baking :)

Learning about Penguines!

Create this page using the Cricut Cartridge “Create a Critter”! It has so many different cute animals you can make for kids school projects, cute cards, holidays and such…

I added “Cotton Ball White” Fun Flock from Stampendous to add dimension to the igloo and Orange Embossing Powder to the Penguins Feet and Beak.

This Page was created to teach about penguins:)

Cake Decorating

With all the new Cake Decorating shows from Cake Boss, Ace of Cakes to Cupcake Wars and more, there has been a rise in cake decorating courses and more people learning the art and craft of styling a cake and cupcakes for many different occassions. I decided to take the Wilton Courses to add the cake decorating to my vocabulary and the ability to create art work with food for those I love.  Here are a few of recent accomplishments of cake decorating. Hope you enjoy!!!

First Attempt using Fondant

This was the final cake after the Wilton Fondant and Gum Paste Course. It was a lot of fun and definetly learnt so many different techniques. Fondant and Gum Paste definetly adds a touch of elegance to cakes.
